About us: Curves Uxbridge is part of the worldwide chain of women’s only fitness clubs that offers a unique 30 minute workout especially designed for women.
Owners Jackie Kench and Liz Thomson believe that Curves is a friendly, non-intimidating fitness centre where women of all ages and fitness levels come and enjoy a 30 minute workout that delivers real results.
Both Jackie and Liz have been Curves members themselves before Jackie opening the Uxbridge club in November 2007, with Liz joining her in September 2009.
Jackie says ‘Here at Curves you get lots of support from a great team of staff and complete a great workout that gives you real results.Curves is very a friendly environment that attracts people of all ages, our youngest member being only 11 and our oldest is 80.’
The 30 minute, circuit based workout includes, cardiovascular, firming and toning and muscle strengthening, our equipment is specifically designed to work in harmony with women’s bodies and works hydraulically to minimise impact. The results are there for all to see with our members having lost an amazing 88 stone and 1700 inches in the last year.
We support many local charities within our borough, for example , we always take part in the annual ‘Race for Life’ in Uxbridge for Breast Cancer. Also each October, we involve ourselves in the Breast Cancer Awareness Week, selling cakes and hosting raffles etc. This year we raised a total of £790!
These cakes are part of our October 2012 Breast Cancer Awareness week.
